    This disc provides a fascinating array of Moeran's piano music, which draws on a variety of influences, from Irish folk music to the works of Delius, Debussy and Ravel. The result is an eclectic collection of delightful piano works, combining the contagiously cheerful with the seductively dreamy.The disc opens with Bank Holiday, its sprightly charm reminiscent of Percy Grainger. In contrast, Summer Valley is dedicated to Delius and draws on the distinctive harmonies and textures used by that composer.
